The synthtastic band CHVRCHES is VH1's You Oughta Know artist for April and we decided that the best way to get to know that Glaswegian trio was to get them to play a little game called "Truth or Dare." We got the band to spill on the meaning behind their album's title, The Bones Of What You Believe, to drop their favorite curse word and to eat a sour lemon.

In case you didn't already know, CHVRCHES is a synth pop band comprised of three Scottish musicians: Iain Cook, Martin Doherty and Lauren Mayberry. The trio has quickly become one of the world's most popular alt acts and they snagged fifth place in the BBC's Sound of 2013 poll.

Their debut album, The Bones Of What You Believe, made many critics' lists last year and Mayberry revealed to us that the title not only refers to a song lyric, but it also means that "the record is like the summation of all the work that we've put into it and you're kind of like handing that off to other people."

Mayberry was also game for a couple of dares. Namely, she revealed her favorite curse word and ate a lemon. "It's quite refreshing," she admitted.
