"Shake Shake Shake" by the Swedish indie group The Sounds is an infectious song sure to be the soundtrack to many a barbecue this summer. And when the band stopped by VH1 Headquarters last week for a performance on Big Morning Buzz Live, we just couldn't get enough.

Performing together since 1999, The Sounds have worked with a variety of producers over the course of five full-length albums. They took a "back to basics" approach to 2013's Weekend, in attempt to capture the magical feeling they had when they first got started. So how does one go about this? Sleeping in the studio, for starters. VH1's fearless photographer Lauren Weissler had the pleasure of following the band during their day in New York City, moving from the hectic bustle of Times Square down to Webster Hall in the East Village. Check out the gallery above for some exclusive looks at the group's recent visit, and find out whether or not they're still sleeping in their recording studios while on the road.
