- Jay Z and Beyonce have officially announced their joint summer tour, you know, the one we heard about on the hush-hush a few weeks back. The Carters will be swinging through North America for the On The Run tour between mid-July and early August. [E!]

- DJ E-Z Rock, best known for working on a hip-hop classic, has died at 46. “It Takes Two,” the catchy hit the DJ created with rapper Rob Base, was released in the late `80s, but the song still manages to rock any party. Other hip-hop legends took to Twitter to mourn the loss. [MTV News]
