Last night's inaugural iHeartRadio Music Awards gave stars a reason to flock to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and for Clear Channel executives to pat themselves on the back. After a successful run with the iHeartRadio music festival — a jam-packed September concert that's boasted sets from Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry over its three years – the company threw its first award show. The categories were similar to that of the American Music Awards, Grammys and MTV VMAs, and, as tends to be the case at these fancy ceremonies, the unfortunate fashion was there in spades.

With RiRi walking away with Artist of the Year (without a new solo album to her name since 2012), emerging artists felt the need to werk just to keep up. But the Robin Antin-conceived girl group G.R.L. went too far, taking a sharp left at "provocative" and ending up at the discount lingerie sales bin. Lil Jon showed up to barbecue and play some frisbee, while Mel B decided to bring some extra fabric to the party in case any of the kids got cold. Since it was the first award show of its kind, stars clearly weren't sure how to dress. We forgive you Jared Leto, Mya and more! (This time...)

Check out the most regrettable red carpet looks above.
