Robin Thicke’s Wife-Wooing "Get Her Back" Video: Creepy Or Cute?

Robin Thicke needs a hug, you guys. Preferably from his estranged wife Paula Patton. The "Blurred Lines" singer has been pursuing his high school sweetheart with rom-com levels of determination since the pair split in February. He's professed his undying love in the middle of concerts and sent her a whole field full of flowers on Valentine's Day, but his new single "Get Her Back" takes things to a whole new level.

In case you were in any doubt about what's been on his mind these days, the song is literally called "Get Her Back." Breaking up is definitely hard to do, but the accompanying video is truly something...special. It's a brutally honest and painfully desperate piece that appears to lay their relationship bare, featuring back and forth break-up texts super-imposed over the image of a bruised and bloody #Thicke.

Dark, moody, and a massive bummer, it's kind of like the alternate universe version of the "Blurred Lines" video. By the same token, it leaves us feeling just as cringy and uneasy as last summer's controversy-stirring clip. Is it a sweet gesture, or is he awkwardly making a private matter public and putting an unfair amount of pressure on his dear one? In case you missed any of the subtext, the name of his upcoming album is, indeed, Paula.

Hell, love makes us do foolish things. But is it cute, or just plain creepy? Let us know in the comments below. In the meantime, will someone please have a screening of Swingers with Robin?
