VH1 + Palladia are teaming up to bring you one of the most unique musical experiences of the year: SoundClash. I'm a little bit country and you're a little bit rock n' roll? No problem because on July 23rd + July 30th at 9 PM EST we are taking the best parts of popular music and mashing them together. We're giving bands like Fall Out Boy, T.I., London Grammar, Ed Sheeran, Grouplove, + Sia a chance to perform onstage together to create one mega-sound.

Both shows will be hosted by DJ + Producer Diplo, and will feature three bands on one stage to create one epic sound. The bands will perform a mix of current singles, covers, favorites, + even a three-way collaboration. SoundClash is the music event that will have everyone talking.

NEW YORK, NY (May 12, 2014) – This summer, VH1 and Palladia present some of today’s hottest and most talked about musical artists like you’ve never seen them before. VH1 and Palladia’s new music series “SoundClash” will bring together acts as diverse as Fall Out Boy, T.I., and London Grammar as well as Ed Sheeran, Sia and Grouplove on one stage, at one time, to perform a mix of current hits, catalog favorites, covers and even once-in-a-lifetime collaborations in front of a live studio audience for a truly next-generation music performance show. Executive produced by Ahmir “QuestLove” Thompson and hosted by DJ/producer and Grammy Award-nominee Diplo, “SoundClash” premieres Wednesday, July 23rd at 9 PM ET/PT on VH1 and Palladia. Episodes will be available the morning following its TV premiere in the VH1 App. The show’s official hashtag is #SoundClash.

Imagine the pulsating energy of the music festival experience, combined with the rush of seeing your favorite band perform their biggest hits live – this is “SoundClash,” VH1 and Palladia’s innovative new series that unites established artists and emerging artists onstage. Each one-hour show seamlessly weaves together continuous musical performances with artist and band interviews for an all-encompassing audiovisual experience.

The series’ inaugural episode on Wednesday, July 23rd will feature Grammy Award-nominated, and three-time VMA winner Fall Out Boy with three time Grammy Award-winning and multi platinum-selling rapper T.I., and up-and-coming British trip-hop group London Grammar rounding out the trio on the SoundClash stage. And the second episode premiering on Wednesday, July 30th has the Brit-born, Grammy Award-nominated global sensation Ed Sheeran joining up with Grammy Award-nominated Australian global hitmaker/singer/producer Sia, with the emerging US-based rockers Grouplove.

Future episodes of VH1’s “SoundClash” will match up of some of the world’s most iconic (and diverse) performers for what promises to be a historic series delivering extraordinary performances and buzzworthy moments.

“Music fuels our passions here at VH1 and Palladia,” said Tom Calderone, President, VH1 and Palladia. “‘SoundClash’ will showcase established acts at their peak, spotlight breaking artists on the rise, and introduce what’s breaking on the music scene at that moment. But it will be the collaborative spirit between the performers on the show that will have music fans buzzing throughout the telecast and for days afterwards.”

“’SoundClash’ is all about convergence,” said Ahmir “QuestLove” Thompson. “It's a place where the cutting edge of the emergent act meets the winning assuredness of the established artist. It's a lush, level playing field where the talented blend and the genres bend in ways that will resonate with even the most discerning lovers of today's music.”
