'Rolling Stone' Cover Girl Katy Perry Talks About Wanting a Baby But Not With a Man
Pop superstar Katy Perry is making headlines after landing the cover of Rolling Stone for a third time and being as unapologetic as ever. In this issue, Perry opens up about being teased during her awkward teenage years, controversy regarding her questionably offensive concert outfits and wanting a baby but not needing a man to have one.
Don't expect anything conventional when it comes to Perry and her extremely colorful [and busy] life. In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, Perry claims, "I don't need a dude," when asked about wanting children. She emphasizes that timing is most important because she would rather not take a baby on tour, but that having a man to help her create a baby is optional. "It's 2014!" she says, using celebrity friends Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka's family as an example of how you don't need the traditional mom and dad family to raise a child.
Perry addresses the controversy surrounding her geisha get up at the American Music Awards and how she gets that it was perhaps "uncool." "I guess I'll just stick to baseball and hot dogs, and that's it."
On being teased as a kid, "I looked like a square—a rectangle, actually—because I was going through my teenage awkward phase." We can all agree that she grew out of her awkward stage and into a curvaceous badass woman.
