Showcasing such artists as One Direction, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, the new awards show will honor artists across the world who are heading the pop music genre, and you won’t want to miss it. NEW YORK (December 5, 2014) — Palladia, Viacom’s hi-def music channel, is exclusively bringing the best of the UK to the US as it unites with BBC One, Radio 1, and Radio 2 to premiere the inaugural BBC Music Awards Thursday, December 11 at 3PM ET LIVE and commercial free from London’s Earl Court.
Hosted by BBC personalities Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton, the BBC Music Awards will see some of the biggest names in the biz performing their biggest hits including: One Direction, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Clean Bandit, Calvin Harris, Paloma Faith, BBC Introducing’s Catfish and The Bottlemen, Labrinth, Ella Henderson, and Take That – with further acts to be announced in the next seven days. A selection of artists will be accompanied by the prestigious BBC Concert Orchestra.
The first-of-its-kind extravaganza highlights the best in popular music from across the UK and around the globe over the past year. Tune in for surprising artist collaborations, live musical performances and the crowning of the BBC Music Award’s British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year, a fan-voted category.

The BBC Music Awards premieres Thursday, December 11th at 3 PM ET on Palladia. It will encore a number of times over the weekend, including a primetime airing that evening at 8 PM ET.
