The 10 Most Overexposed Artists Of 2014

What do Iggy Azalea, Pitbull, and Pharrell have in common? Well for starters, all three of them had really great years. Iggy won twice at the American Music Awards and has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. Mr. Worldwide released a new album, Globalization, and expressed his undying love for booties as a host at the 2014 AMAs. And as for Pharrell, where haven't you seen him? The singer is everywhere and he's "Happy" about it. But while these three artists have been making the rounds promoting various album releases and making appearances in shows or on magazine covers, all three of them went overkill. Who else made the list of the most overexposed artists of 2014? Keep reading to find out!

1. Iggy Azalea

Where you've seen her: On tour promoting The New Classic, performing at the 2014 AMAs, the Austin City Limits Festival, the 2014 BET Awards with T.I., and Z100's 2014 Jingle Ball, on the cover of Maxim AustraliaCosmopolitan, and Billboard, collaborating with T.I., Charli XCX, Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, and Jennifer Lopez, striking back at Eminem and Azealia Banks on Twitter

Why she's been stuck in your head: "Fancy" feat. Charli XCX

From releasing The New Classic in April to putting out Reclassified in late November, Iggy has been on the fast track all year, and we've heard just a little too much from the rapper -- both on and off the stage. Iggy, we love you, but we want you to make us "Beg For It" before you take over the charts once again.

2. Pitbull

Where you've seen him: Presenting at the 2014 AMAs, performing with Ne-Yo at the AMAs and at the halftime show for the Thanksgiving Day Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles game, performing on Dancing with the Stars

Why he's been stuck in your head: "Fireball" feat. John Ryan

Mr. 305 has had somewhat of a comeback year, with a new album and a new hit song under his belt. But when it came time for Pitbull to host the AMAs, we were already a little worn out by his unmistakable -- though likable -- voice, as well as his frequent commentaries on the female backside.

3. Pharrell

Where you've seen him: On tour, performing on SNL and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, performing at the 2014 Grammy Awards, the 2014 Oscar Awards, and Z100's 2014 Jingle Ball, as a coach on The Voice, on the cover of British GQElle UKEbony, and Billboard

Why he's been stuck in your head: "Happy." 'Nuff said.

Don't get us wrong: We love Pharrell. He's a multi-dimensional artist, and as the years go by, he only ever seems to get younger. But this year, the singer's "Happy" streak went on for just a little too long.

In case you missed it, watch our host Ellie Lee talk to Pharrell about his favorite drink, biggest turn on, and more on Backstage BFF.

4. DJ Snake

Where you've seen him: On tour, performing at Ultra Music Festival and San Diego's OMFG NYE 2014, featured in the Rock the Vote campaign for the 2014 midterm elections

Why he's been stuck in your head: "Turn Down For What" with Lil Jon

You can detect Lil Jon's voice in "Turn Down For What" from a mile away— and chances are, you have. The club jam has been a major hit, but it's run its course. Here's hoping DJ Snake has new and improved hits in store for 2015.

5. Rick Ross

Where you've seen him: Shouting out to all the "pear" for his recent weight loss, collaborating with Chris Brown on "New Flame"

Why he's been stuck in your head: "Movin' Bass" feat. Jay Z

Rick Ross released two albums this year, but that's not why he's gotten so much attention. It's the rapper's new body that's gotten him overexposed -- in multiple senses of the word -- as well as his popularizing the most underrated fruit of all time: the pear.

6. Magic!

Where you've seen them: On tour, performing on TodayThe View, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing at the 2014 AMAs

Why they've been stuck in your head: "Rude"

Magic!'s catchy pop-reggae jam "Rude" made its way to the top of the charts with great ease, but to our dismay, it didn't leave quite so easily. The "feel good" song seems to be all the band has up their sleeves, and we don't want to be "Rude," but we're pretty over it.

7. Bobby Shmurda

Where you've seen him: Performing at the 2014 BET Awards, Electric Zoo Festival, and doing the "Shmoney Dance" with Drake at a Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour concert

Why he's been stuck in your head: "Hot N*gga"

Sure, he put out a superbly titled album, Shmurda She Wrote, and came up with a dance move that even Beyoncé had to try, but other than that, what is it that sparked all the hype around Bobby Shmurda? Please, someone, help us understand.

8. Imagine Dragons

Where you've seen them: On tour, performing on SNL, performing at the 2014 Grammy Awards, 2014 SXSW iTunes Festival, and the 2014 League of Legends World Championship

Why they've been stuck in your head: "On Top Of The World"

It's been two years since Night Visions first came out, but it seems like individual songs from the album are only just cropping up - and not in a good way. Imagine Dragons' performance with Kendrick Lamar at the Grammy Awards earlier this year was stellar, but it's their song "On Top Of The World" that's got us holding pillows over our ears.

9. Alt-J

Where you've seen them: On tour, on the cover of Under the Radar, performing on Conan

Why they've been stuck in your head: "Left Hand Free"

Alt-J's new album This Is All Yours was underwhelming in comparison to their first, offering little diversity between songs. Their fans hungrily ate it up, but we're not interested in trying it.

10. Selena Gomez

Where you've seen her: performing at the 2014 AMAs (and crying), appearing on The Talk, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, posing in Instagram pictures with best bud Taylor Swift

Why she's been stuck in your head: "The Heart Wants What It Wants"

Oh, Selena. The songbird seems a little down in the dumps these days, and while we're rooting for her to get back to her cheery self, we can't listen to "The Heart Wants What It Wants" any longer.
