How Would Beyonce React To A Politician Suggesting That Jay Z’s Her “Pimp?”

Is Republican Mike Huckabee prepping for a possible 2016 presidential run by slamming Beyonce? Judging by excerpts from the former Arkansas governor’s book, it looks that way.

U.S. News & World Report snagged an advance copy of Huck’s God, Guns, Grits, And Gravy, where he recalls Bey’s 2014 Grammy performance:

“My reaction: Why? Beyonce is incredibly talented – gifted, in fact. She has an exceptional set of pipes and can actually sing. She is a terrific dancer – without the explicit moves best left for the privacy of her bedroom. Jay Z is a very shrewd businessman, but I wonder: Does it occur to him that he is arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp by exploiting his wife as a sex object?”

If Huck had been listening to Beyonce since her Destiny’s Child days, he’d know she’s in control of her career. She nor Jay have publicly responded to the excerpt, but using her lyrics, we can speculate how she’d react. But before clicking to the next page for Bey’s takedown, watch a clip about her awesome moments last year.

“I took some time to live my life
But don’t think I’m just his little wife
Don’t get it twisted, get it twisted
This my shit
Bow down, bitches”
— “Flawless”

“This goes out to all the women getting it in
You’re on your grind
To other men that respect what I do
Please accept my shine”
— “Run The World (Girls)”

“I can be bad if I want
I can do wrong if I want
I can live fast if I want
I can go slow all night long
I’m a grown woman
I can do whatever I want”
— “Grown Woman”

“I do it like it’s my profession
I gotta make a confession
I’m proud of all this bass
Let me put it in your face”
— “Rocket”

“Question: Tell me how you feel about this
Try to control me boy you get dismissed
Pay my own fun, oh, and I pay my own bills
Always 50/50 in relationships”
— “Independent Women, Part 1”
