CHVRCHES and Ed Sheeran have more in common than you think. Both are former YOK artists and both love covering other artist’s songs. Chvrches recently stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and while they were there, they covered a Justin Timberlake classic: “Cry Me A River.”
It’s been a solid 13 years since Timberlake’s hit dropped as part of his solo debut album Justified, and Chvrches’ electropop cover of the song offers a fresh take on it. Listen to “electro-Timberlake” above, and rewatch Chvrches’ performance of “The Mother We Share” at last year’s You Oughta Know Live In Concert here.
