6 Things That Make Nick Gordon Look Bad In The Bobbi Kristina Brown Case
Nick Gordon's Dr. Phil interview-turned-intervention aired last night. The interview was filmed while Gordon remains the target of the criminal investigation of the Bobbi Kristina Brown case, and also prompted Gordon to check himself into rehab.
Gordon, who has been struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, is seeking the help he needs, but as far as the investigation goes, things aren't looking good for him. Here are some of the findings that stack up against him.
1. He's the target of the criminal investigation surrounding the Bobbi Kristina Brown incident.
Leolah Brown, Bobby Brown's sister, posted a Facebook message last week saying that Gordon is being investigated for the attempted murder of Bobbi Kristina. "We have strong evidence of foul play," Leolah wrote. Gordon and Bobbi Kristina's relationship was a turbulent one, fueled by Gordon's jealousy of the attention Bobbi Kristina received after Whitney Houston's death.
2. He's been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
Gordon "couldn't even walk and was pushed around on a luggage cart" before his interview with Dr. Phil, according to TMZ. Gordon's mother revealed that her son had been abusing alcohol and Xanax. Steven Stepho, friend to Gordon and Bobbi Kristina, came forward to say that it "wasn't unusual for them to spend $1,000 a day on drugs," according to Inquisitr. The Brown family also told TMZ that the police found drugs in Bobbi Kristina's home after doing a second sweep.
3. His actions the morning of the incident are suspicious.
Max Lomas, the friend who found Bobbi Kristina in the bathtub, said that Gordon was acting strange the morning of the incident. Gordon was supposedly cleaning blood stains and taking other actions that could have tampered with the investigation.
4. He may have mishandled some of Bobbi Kristina's inheritance money.
Gordon bought himself "a bunch of expensive cars and extravagant gifts" with Bobbi Kristina's inheritance money, according to a Hollywood Life source.
5. He isn't on good terms with the Brown family.
It was Bobby Brown's lawyer who clarified in February that Gordon and Bobbi Kristina were never officially married. Gordon went on a Twitter rant to Bobby Brown later that month when he was denied the ability to visit Bobbi Kristina in the hospital. "There's a lot of tension whenever Nick comes around," a source told Hollywood Life. "He wants to be more involved but the family is basically shutting him out. Bobby and Whitney's family don't like him one bit."
6. His appearance on Dr. Phil
