Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly' Arrives One Week Early, Everybody Loses Their Mind

Earlier this month Kendrick Lamar made a rare Twitter appearance to announce both the title and release date for his new album.  Although the project was slated for a March 23 release, the highly-anticipated To Pimp a Butterfly has arrived a full week ahead of schedule.

Early this morning, the album surprisingly appeared out the blue on both iTunes and Spotify. A few days prior, an unconfirmed tracklist and leak of Lamar's funk-driven track "King Kunta" appeared online. While fans everywhere were surprised by the album's early arrival, the man himself responded to the frenzy with a mellow message via Twitter.

Kendrick may have been able to keep his cool, but the same can't be said for some of his industry peers. Check out what everyone from Taylor Swift to Timbaland had to say about the surprise album.
