Jay Z Launches TIDAL Streaming Service, Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj + More Star In Promo

Jay Z wants you to give him $20 bucks a month —and he just might get it. Say hello to TIDAL, billed as "the first music streaming service that combines the best High Fidelity sound quality, High Definition music videos and expertly Curated Editorial." And if that's not enough to get your music-loving heart all aflutter, TIDAL is also packing some serious celebrity fire-power. We've lost count of the megastars featured in their new promo vid!

The service which initially launched in October of 2014, is receiving a swift reboot thanks to Jay's purchase of parent company Aspiro. Aside from the big name boss, music's biggest and brightest have all come forward to pledge their allegiance to the industry's newest wave. Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye, and other colossal names showed their support with cyan blue Twitter avatars and #TIDALforALL tweets. Even Hov himself made a rare Twitter appearance to declare that "The Tides They Are-A Changing."

Jay Z is slated to make an announcement today at 5pm EST, where we're sure more details surrounding the service will be made available. Until then, what we do know about TIDAL is that the service offers two price points. TIDAL Premium gives subscribers standard quality audio and high definition music videos for $9.99 a month. For an extra $10 bucks, TIDAL HiFi not only gives subscribers hi-def music videos, but access to superior sound quality not available through other streaming services on the market.

Things get even more interesting when you take into account the recent news of Taylor Swift moving her catalog over to TIDAL, after her much publicized fallout with Spotify. Could we see all of Jay's music buddies make a similar move? Will you be making the move with them?
