Rihanna Might Owe This Houston Singer Some Money For “Bitch Better Have My Money”

Jimmy Kimmel owes Rihanna some money, and now, Rihanna might have to pay up to Houston singer-songwriter Just Brittany for plagiarizing Brittany’s nine-month-old track, “Betta Have My Money.”

RiRi is facing plagiarism allegations for having copied Just Brittany’s “Betta Have My Money.” There’s no question that Rihanna has the more popular track, but there’s also no question that the hooks, let alone the track titles, are extremely similar. Hear Just Brittany’s “Betta Have My Money.”

Now, listen to Rihanna’s BBHMM.

My Rihanna bias wants me to argue that the tracks don’t sound all that similar after all, but the fact of the matter is that they really do. Just Brittany tweeted out the iTunes link to her track, noting that it came out well before Rihanna’s. She later deleted the tweet, but Global Grind caught the text.
