Meet James Bay, the newest addition to our talented You Oughta Know collective. Just like many YOK newbies before him, we put James to the test with the Stop/Watch Challenge. The British vocalist makes light work of the task—with a quick but impassioned performance of his hit UK single "Hold Back The River."

Just a few weeks ago, this 24-year-old singer/songwriter witnessed his debut album Chaos and the Calm, remove Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly from the top of the UK charts. Not bad for a kid who was discovered after video of a local pub performance found it's way on YouTube.

In December, Bay nabbed the 2015 Brit Choice Awards, past winners of the prize include Florence & the Machine, Adele, and Sam Smith — not bad company. With a prestigious award under his belt, a #1 album, and a single burning up the UK charts in "Hold Back The River," James Bay is definitely an artist You Oughta Know.
