You Oughta Know alums Sam Smith and Hozier both saw a great amount of success on the Billboard charts last year. So it only makes sense that the two artists, along with Nick Jonas, have been added to the list of performers at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
Sam Smith, who won four Grammy Awards in February, snagged 13 Billboard Music Award nominations, including Top Artist, Top New Artist, and Top Male Artist. Hozier is up for five categories, including Top New Artist, Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Song for “Take Me To Church.” Nick Jonas is fresh off of his iHeartRadio Music Awards performance of “Chains,” which sits at number 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
The Billboard Music Awards take place on Sunday, May 17 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. The awards show has already booked Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa to perform together, as well as Chrissy Teigen and Ludacris as hosts.
