Mark Ronson Provides the Beats While 'Late Late Show''s James Corden Raps His Opening Monologue

It wasn't "Uptown Funk," but it was pretty funky.

Mark Ronson appeared on The Late Late Show last night to call upon host James Corden to rap his opening monologue.

"I saw you on the show the other night with Josh Gad," Ronson told Corden. "I don't think you should be singing Frozen monologues, man, you're from the streets. You're forgetting where you're from, man."

With that, Ronson coolly took his spot on the stage in the DJ booth. Corden accepted Ronson's challenge to rap his opening monologue, and after hearing Ronson lay down some beats, proceeded to spit fire. Has Corden found his new calling? Or, at least, his new recording partner?

Hear Mark Ronson talk about working with Amy Winehouse and making music relevant in this Playback clip.
