Beyonce's Mysterious Grammy Hand Gestures: 5 Possible Explanations
The internet is losing its collective lunch over the fact that Queen of Fierce Beyonce threw up some kind of odd hand sign during the 2013 Grammys telecast, before giggling about it with seat-mates Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. It all went down when MC LL Cool J gave Bey props for her Houston roots. Was it a gang sign? Some mysterious Illuminati signal? Relax, world. We've got a few less suspect explanations for the lovely Mrs. Carter's actions!
1. We're gonna go out on a limb and say that her hand gesture looks suspiciously like the universal gesture for "OK." Considering that she snagged a seat next to JT and his new wife, maybe she's just approving of the Grammy's seating arrangement.
2. She's chosen a unique way of showing off her Grammy manicure. Hey, now the folks on both sides of her can see!
3. Her hand also could be making the "om" sign, so maybe she's meditating. Centering her her chi and being a superstar diva at the same time? THAT'S multitasking!
4. She finally got to "zero" on her "Countdown".
5. She's illustrating the number of effs she gives about her lip sync haters.

UPDATE: We've since learned (thanks to numerous reader comments and tweets) that Bey is reppin' the 3rd Ward in her home town of Houston. Hence the three-fingered hand gesture. Case closed!
