The Scoop: What’s So Fishy About Lady Gaga’s Recovery From Surgery?

Also, what is Jessica Simpson’s favorite pregnancy snack? Why is Taylor Swift so terrified of drinking wine in marble bathtubs? And how is Russell Crowe making sure that Les Miserables co-star Samantha Barks isn’t left on her own? All this and more in this morning’s The Scoop.

  • It seems Lady Gaga has some fishy friends to help her recover from her recent hip surgery. Gaga reportedly had a dream about some Japanese koi and then shelled out over $60,000 on a koi aquarium. I’m not sure what those koi told Gaga in her dream that was so important, but clearly they left out that you can occasionally get goldfish for free from many malls across America. [Daily Mail]
  • Jessica Simpson dished on Ellen that her current pregnancy is way harder than her first. Apparently, she’s been exhausted and suffering from extreme nausea. She’s been “…eating Tums. That’s my snack of choice.” Do I smell another big endorsement deal? Jessica Simpson: the face of nausea. [US Weekly]
  • Following on the heels of her Vanity Fair cover reveal yesterday, Taylor Swift also covers next month’s In Style magazine where she says her biggest fear is winding up “Alone. Laying in a marble bathtub by myself, like sad, with a glass of wine…” Which is ironic because Swift just described my fantasy life. [Celebitchy]
  • Russell Crowe had to take to twitter to squash rumors that he is hooking up with his Les Miserables co-star, Samantha Barks. Apparently the 48 year old Aussie and 22 year old Brit are just workout buddies. Also, Russell Crowe tweets a lot. Maybe he’s dating his own twitter? [LaineyGossip]
  • In tragic news today, legendary television actress, Valerie Harper, has been sadly diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Doctors estimate she has only three months to live. Harper is famous for playing Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its eponymous spin-off, Rhoda. [People]
  • Carrie Fisher has confirmed that she is going to be appearing in J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: Episode VII, meaning that Han, Luke and Leia will all be returning. However, Fisher cautions that “she’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home,” which means some of us might get our wish of Star Wars VII: Best Exotic Marigold Cantina. [ET Online]
