Vogue Repeats History With Back-to-Back Mobama/Bey Covers!

We j'adore Vogue. But the Style Bible has always been a tad reluctant to showcase a black chick on the cover -- unless, of course, the chicks in question are Michelle Obama and Beyonce!Back in 2009, the magazine ran back-to-back covers of the insanely powerful amigas: the FLOTUS posed on the all-important March "Spring Fashion" issue, and Queen B reigned on April's "Shape" issue (see below). Vogue did it again this year, but switched up the order: Mrs. Carter landed the coveted March 2013 cover spot, while Mrs. Obama graces April's issue (on newsstands March 26th). We'd love to think that the besties celebrate their covers by ditching their hubbies -- perhaps Sasha and Malia could babysit Blue Ivy? -- and hitting the White House screening room for a night of Snuggies, fat-free popcorn, and The Devil Wears Prada.

A few questions. Do you love the new Mobama cover? Is her stunning face upstaged by those aspirational arms and bangs? And finally, do you think Vogue plans to run Mobama/Bey twinsie issues every four years till eternity? One can only dream.
