Joss Whedon has been behind some of the coolest television shows (Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly) and Marvel's epic superhero team up film, The Avengers. So, it's only natural that he's the guy at the helm for the new television series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The question of the hour has got to be how closely will Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. follow the complex Marvel film universe? And Joss Whedon has some answers…

"It's tough," Whedon said, "because you want to tease something or foreshadow something or reference something and then, you know, you get pre-empted… So, you've got to be careful not to do too much of it, but we are completely aware of what everyone else is doing."

However, Whedon warns that as much as they want to tease out the movies, that's not his primary goal with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"First, we want to make a good TV show which believe it or not is really hard."

If early indications from fans who saw the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot at Comic-Con are any indication, it looks like Whedon might have done it.
