True Blood Fans, You Can’t Save (Spoiler), But You Can Save The Elephants!

Attention, True Blood fans. Once you’re done rioting in the streets (blogs) over last night’s season finale, we have a suggestion for how you can channel all that energy into something positive: saving real-life elephants instead of fictional hot vampires. Last week, during our Very VH1 Spreecast with Kristin Bauer Van Straten (Pam), she showed off a portrait she painted of her vampire “daddy,” Eric.

It’s no full frontal in the Swedish wilderness, but this painting is signed by Alexander Skarsgard as well as Kristin, who went to school for visual art before becoming an actress. She’s selling it on eBay right now to raise money for Out for Africa, her effort with husband Abri Van Straten to stop elephant and rhinoceros poaching. Kristin shot footage of the elephants in Kenya last year and his working on turning it into a documentary.

Even if you can’t afford the painting, let’s all give Kristin a hand for both her great performance this season and her ability to switch Pam off and be a very compassionate human too!
