Now poor Johnny is considering pulling a Brando by quitting acting altogether and retiring to "quieter things." Awwww, Johnny...we hope this little setback isn't getting you down. Look on the brightside: TONS of bombs have gone on to have long and successful careers as movie classics on home video!
Tron
Blade Runner
Shawshank Redemption
Willy Wonka
Office Space
Citizen Kane
Vertigo
Wizard of Oz
It's A Wonderful Life
Heathers
Donnie Darko
Cleopatra

Rocky Horror Picture Show
It's really bizarre how many beloved movies had pretty inauspicious beginnings. Even ones that have consistently been ranked as some of the best movies of ALL TIME, Y'ALL, didn't cut the mustard when given their cinema debut. So don't feel blue, Johnny. Head on up to the gallery above for 15 other movies that had (almost) as bad a start as The Long Ranger. Give it a little time and it might turn out to be another Citizen Kane or Wizard of Oz!
