Emmys Exclusive: Sarah Hyland Says 'Vampire Academy' Movie "Stays True To The Book"

Congrats, Vampire Academy fandom! Sarah Hyland is in love with you. We caught up with the Modern Family star at the Emmys, where she praised the uber-talented and committed fans of her upcoming film Vampire Academy, one of the next big YA book-to-movie adaptations. "They're so amazing and supportive and the best fans," she said. "And very, very talented with their fan art."

Sarah stars as Natalie Dashkov, a family friend of Lissa's, a particularly important royal at their school, with sketchy motives. (Ya know, you should really read the books.) She assured us that the story we'll see on screen stays true to its roots. "There's always going to be something that's missing...but Vampire Academy actually stays really true to the book."
