The Internet went into a frenzy when it was announced that Khandi Alexander would be joining Scandal as Kerry Washington's mom. Alexander will first appear on the series in a flashback in this week's episode (and hopefully more to come). Just what exactly happened to Maya Lewis in Iceland all those years ago?
