As the country takes a moment to remember John F. Kennedy on the 50th anniversary of his assassination, we decided to look back on his last impacting in pop culture. In the five decades since his death, JFK's story has been told countless times both on the big screen and the small one. Whether it's a look at the younger years, like Patrick Dempsey in the TV movie, JFK: Restless Youth, or a controversial portrayal of his presidency, such as The Kennedys starring Greg Kinnear, actors have not shied away from taking JFK's iconic look and thick Massachusetts accent.

While there have been a number of portrayals, no one has played JFK more than Brett Stimely, who has taken on the man four different times. His roles, while small, tend to capture the most familiar elements of the president. Compare that Rob Lowe, who at first glance looks nothing like Kennedy, but somehow transforms himself into a man Lowe has admired for most of his life.

We narrowed down the list to ten portrayals - with one funny man, Jon Hamm, giving the role of Kennedy some much-needed laughs after so many looks into the darker side of his short life. Check them out and let us know what's been your favorite over the past 50 years.
