Our mornings just got a little '90s boy-band-ier! VH1 announced today that Nick Lachey is joining the family as the host of Big Morning Buzz Live when the show returns in March. After seeing him blossom from 98 Degrees singer to reality TV subject to talented TV host (most recently on The Sing Off) AND 98 Degrees singer, we're super excited about waking up with him every morning. VH1 “BIG MORNING BUZZ LIVE” AS SPRING 2014 HOST
NEW YORK, NY- January 17, 2014: VH1 “Big Morning Buzz” will kick off its next season with multiplatinum recording artist and television personality Nick Lachey as the new Spring host, when the show returns live from the iconic TRL studios overlooking Times Square on Monday, March 3rd at 10AM*.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nick Lachey as our host of VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live” this coming Spring, said Lee Rolontz, EVP of Original Music Production and Development, VH1. “Our audience has followed Nick throughout his musical and television career, so we know his charisma and energy are a perfect fit for our network morning show.”
“I’ve had a wonderful, longstanding relationship with VH1 over the course of my music career, and I couldn’t be more excited to enter into this new chapter as resident host for Big Morning Buzz’,” said Nick Lachey. “I love the rush of doing live TV – you never know what will happen next.”
In 2013, Lachey reunited with his Grammy-nominated group 98 Degrees to launch their new album “2.0” and the sold-out “Package Tour” with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men. Inspired by the birth of his son Camden, Lachey also released a chart-topping lullaby album in partnership with Fisher Price entitled “A Father’s Lullaby.” Most recently, Lachey returned to host the fourth season of NBC’s highly-rated a capella show "The Sing Off.” Lachey currently serves on the Entertainment Council for VH1’s Save The Music Foundation.
