Jonah Hill Soared With Leonardo DiCaprio On 'SNL' Last Night

Jonah Hill returned to Studio 8H last night (with musical guest Bastille) to host Saturday Night Live for the third time. Last time, jokes were made at his expense in regards to how his Oscar nomination had changed him. This time, his Wolf of Wall Street co-star Leonardo DiCaprio stepped in during his monologue to put Hill in line and to recreate DiCaprio's most famous cinematic moment.

Jonah Hill is one of the few actors who has made the transition from film funny guy to serious respected actor. The only question is, "Can he act humble in the press about it?" Hill seemed to be in on the joke that he can't stop name-dropping Marty Scorsese and Brad Pitt, so it was a fun surprise to see Leonardo DiCaprio crash his self-aggrandizing monologue to put him in his place. However, things took an even more delightful turn when Hill convinced Leo to reenact the famous "I'm flying, Jack," moment from Titanic.

The rest of the night featured a lot of broad humor (think toilet and poop and gay figure skater jokes) and the return of Hill's Adam Grossman character, aka the kid at Benihana.

One of the most carefully watched parts of the night was Weekend Update. It was announced this week that Seth Meyers will be officially leaving Saturday Night Live after next week's show and Cecily Strong will be joined at the Update desk by SNL head writer Colin Jost. Kate McKinnon was given a strong character bit towards the end of the segment and Strong was given more to do. Perhaps a blueprint of what's to come?

Saturday Night Live returns next week with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Imagine Dragons.
