First Dibs: Is Oprah Getting Ready To Make Her Broadway Debut?

Hellooooo New York Cityyyyy! Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is reportedly close to coming to the Great White Way, while the Pitch Perfect sequel just got a lot cooler.

  • After her return to acting in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Oprah is in talks to make her Broadway debut. Winfrey is said to be eying a role opposite Broadway legend Audra McDonald in a revival of night, Mother, directed by George C. Wolfe. It feels like a no-brainer to us if she wants to land an EGOT any time soon. [THR]
  • Oprah also joined Billy Crystal, Kim Kardashian and an eclectic mix of Hollywood elite to say goodbye to Jay Leno on his final night as host of The Tonight Show. [Us Weekly]
  • After news hit that Elizabeth Banks would direct Pitch Perfect 2, stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have officially signed on to the sequel, slated for a 2015 release. No word yet on whether Workaholics star Adam DeVine will reprise his role as Bumper, but we can dream! [THR]
