They may be big-shot nominees, but Benedict Cumberbatch reminds Bono and the guys of U2 not to take themselves too seriously on Oscar night. Besides, no one is immune to a photobomb at an award show–not even some of the biggest rock stars in the world.
Despite not being a nominee this year, the 12 Years a Slave and August: Osage County star seized the day during tonight’s Oscar pre-show by jumping into a group photo featuring U2 and their families. Maybe Benedict wanted to lighten the mood, knowing we were in for a good five to six-hour endeavor? Or maybe he wanted to remind us that even though he’s been in several serious films this year, he’s still a cheeky goof who can’t pass up a good photobomb opportunity? With so many interviews and so many flashbulbs, plenty of celebrities are known to let their freak flag fly on the red carpet. Check out some of the most epic photobombs from award shows and decide who you’d love to crash your own selfie.
