As another winter storm prepares to wreck much of the Northeast, we'd like to take a moment to address a serious issue: shorts in the snow. If you are guilty of this faux pas/health hazard, you know who you are (we're talking to you, white guys). For some reason the refusal to wear full pants runs rampant among dudes in cities with legitimate snowfall, with Hugh Jackman being one of the biggest culprits. We've seen the Les Miserables star make more than a few interesting choices on the streets of New York. Perhaps the many years he's spent playing Wolverine have left him feeling invincible?

No, you don't look brave entering the elements ill-equipped for sub-zero temperatures. And no, we're not impressed by your limbs' ability to remain in place despite obvious frostbite. Pants exist for a reason! Wear them.

It's our sincere hope that Winter Storm Vulcan is the last of the 2013-14 season. Spring is just seven days away, after all. May we all learn from the mistakes made by the men above and better prepare ourselves for next winter.
