Anyone who has ever spent a 17 hour layover somewhere between Atlanta and Albuquerque knows the airport is where all established rules of fashion go to die. Comfort comes first — even for celebrities — as seen by Snoop Dogg and Rita Ora’s shared penchant for socks with sandals. That’s right, friends. It’s no longer just a style for college bros who are late to their 8 am psych class.
Going through the motions of security check-ins to lengthy delays and one too many pre-flight margaritas will cause anyone to lose sight of what’s edgy and what’s awful. While stars like Kim Kardashian, Usher and Madonna might simply prefer to wrap themselves in gigantic furs before boarding an overnight flight, we can always count on Lady Gaga to wear something that’s downright impractical — unless she’s one of the few humans who prefers to stand on a moving sidewalk. Looks like these only bring more attention to the famous faces hoping to travel incognito, and clog up the security line. (You know Gaga’s accessories are setting off the metal detectors.)
From the onesies of Redfoo and Rihanna to the high-heels of Kesha and Mother Monster, check out the most unexpected looks celebs have rocked while one the road.
