Who Is Josh Gad Recruiting For The 'Frozen' Sequel?

After the success of Frozen, the brains behind Disney's blockbuster animated film are inching closer to a potential sequel. But who will join the likes of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell and Josh Gad? VH1's Ellie Lee spoke to Gad — the man inside Olaf, the lovable animated snowman — on the carpet at the FX Upfronts in New York. And no, they did not sing "Let It Go."

Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch may be in the conversation for a proposed follow-up, but Gad already has his sights set on someone great. "I can tell you right now that I wrote the creative team and I said, 'If Melissa McCarthy is not playing Olaf's love interest in this movie, then I'm not going to be a part of any Frozen sequel,'" Gad explained. Are you listening powers that be? It's Melissa McCarthy or bust! Please don't mess this up.

While children far and wide have embraced the film, Gad believes there is a downside to playing animated piles of snow in a wildly successful film — particularly when it comes to meeting some of his youngest fans who have trouble separating fiction from reality. "It's creating a generation of confused toddlers who are never really going to get over the nightmare that I am this snowman for them," he said.
