Last Lap: How Is The MLB Community Reacting To Tony Gwynn's Passing?

Showtime releases Ray Donovan season two trailer, Rob Pattinson opens up about a failed audition, and Jeopardy host Alex Trebek sets a Guinness World Record.

  • Baseball Hall of Famer and former San Diego Padres outfielder Tony Gwynn has tragically passed away today due to cancer. He was only 54. Those of the MLB community have expressed their condolences on social media, including his son, Tony Gwynn, Jr. who posted the following statement: "Today I lost my Dad, my best friend and my mentor. I'm gonna miss u so much pops. I'm gonna do everything in my power to continue to make u proud!" Our thoughts go out to his family. [FOX Sports]
  • While we anticipate the second season premiere of Showtime's highly-acclaimed hit show Ray Donovan, the network released a full-length trailer today, exactly one month before the big night. This season, we can expect multiple cameos of amazing guest stars and even more drama. Liev Schreiber returns Sunday, July 13 at 9PM ET. [YouTube]
  • If  Rob Pattinson knows anything, it's to not make the same mistake twice. After admitting to bombing his Transformers 2 audition (and almost losing his agent!), he said he prepped for The Rover audition by completely transforming into character. Looks like it all worked out! [MTV News]
  • We wonder if Alex Trebek would get his own trivia correct... The Jeopardy star set a world record on Friday, June 13, for "most game show episodes hosted by the same presenter." Guess you know you've made it when Will Farrell impersonates you! [US Magazine]
