Jennifer Lawrence is back in the spotlight and speaking out about her stolen private photos. This week Jennifer graced the cover of Vanity Fair and spoke candidly about being a victim of the recent celebrity nude photo leaks: “Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this,” she told the magazine. “It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”
Jennifer has put on a brave face and won’t let this incredible violation of privacy bring her down. She’s refused to apologize, and has stood up for herself and the others targeted. She’s also pushing for legal action, calling the leaks a “sex crime.”
Jennifer can next be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 (out November 21), the second to last film in the series. We’re confident Jennifer has more Academy Award nominations and blockbuster franchises in her future. She’s still the girl we wish was our best friend and we’re standing by her!
