Through the magic of Twitter, a random teenage Target employee is now heating up social media. By doing nothing more than his job, Alex From Target is now enjoying a brief encounter with fame.

Aside from his ability to make girls his age swoon and his seemingly strong work ethic, it’s hard to say why Alex has been trending for the past day. However, no one needs an explanation to geek out over a new meme. Alex has spawned conspiracy theories in Gawker's explainer on the phenomenon, a BuzzFeed quiz, and even love from the retailer that signs his checks.
