When we look back on 2014, it will be known as the year Chris Pratt reintroduced himself as a bona fide movie star (who can rap) and Idina Menzel proved you don't have to know her name to know she can sing. It was a lackluster year for film, but thankfully we had some stellar TV to keep us warm. We expected great things from veterans like Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, but it was newcomers who truly blew us away. Comedy Central's Broad City is a show we couldn't wait to share with our BFFs; its creators Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer are two hilarious women we'd love to have a drink with one day.
