For its seventh and final season, Parks and Recreation is going back to the future. And in the future, there are drones in suburbia, fancy Minority Report-like tablets, and a Johnny Karate TV show.
Last season’s finale jumped three years ahead, with Leslie (Amy Poehler) and Ben (Adam Scott) suited up at Pawnee City Hall, on the National Park Service floor, for what looks like a very important city event. In the trailer, nabbed exclusively by EW, we’re back in 2017 Pawnee, where Tom (Aziz Ansari) is now a mogul, Andy (Chris Pratt) has turned his side-show act into a TV star, and Jerry (Jim O’Heir) is now Terry.
If this is the beautiful world we have to look forward to in the future, then why are even sweating today?
