T.I. Calls For An End To Police Brutality & Defends 'Angry Lyrics' On CNN

“We’re not calling for the death of anyone. We're calling for the death of our people to end.”

In 1988, N.W.A. released the highly controversial "F*** tha Police," a track calling out the brutal and unjust tactics waged against black males by law enforcement. Almost three decades later, the issue of police brutality still remains and rappers such as VH1 star T.I. are making it their business to put a stop to the injustice.

T.I., along with Mexican-American rapper Kap G recently made an appearance on CNN to discuss racial profiling, police brutality, and the controversy surrounding Kap G's “La Polica” remix which features Tip and Mississippi rapper David Banner. In the interview conducted by CNN's Don Lemon, T.I. states “I think that there’s been a blatant disregard in all underserved areas of society, when it comes to interactions with law enforcement.” The Atlanta rapper would go on to say, “I think there’s a resentment, [and] undeniable fear that I believe law enforcement has for young minorities and it is reflected in their actions."
