Giuliana Rancic apologized for her controversial comments about Zendaya's hair. But is a televised statement enough to save her job? After commenting on the 18-year-old's Oscar night hairstyle (saying her dreadlocks looked as if they smelled like "patchouli oil" or "weed") on Monday's Fashion Police, Rancic apologized for her words on Tuesday night's E! News. The longtime host will not appear on E! News Thursday and Friday this week due to prior commitments. The Gossip Table reports that Rancic has not been suspended or fired, despite facing heavy criticism for her comments. Find out more about the fallout in the video.

UPDATE: Zendaya responded to Rancic's apology on Twitter. "Giuliana, I appreciate your apology and I'm glad it was a learning experience for you and the network," she wrote. "I hope that others negatively affected by her words can also find it in their hearts to accept her apology as well." See the full statement below.
