Dakota Johnson Won't Stop Whining Until Her Mom Sees 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Watching your daughter get spanked in Fifty Shades of Grey would be awkward for any parent. But Dakota Johnson, the film's breakout star, is still insisting her actress mom Melanie Griffith buy a ticket.

The 25-year-old up-and-comer had an awkward encounter with her mom, who came as her date, at the Oscars last weekend. Twitter went nuts, calling Johnson a spoiled brat for the way she reacted to her mom telling a red carpet reporter that she didn't need to see the film to know her daughter was a great actress.

But Johnson's taking it all in stride. Since she's hosting Saturday Night Live this Saturday, alongside Alabama Shakes, she's using her latest promo to poke fun at herself. With Taran Killam, Johnson whines to the camera, pleading for her mom to watch her movie. The clip continues with more bit promos for her episode, which include extra stabs at Fifty Shades and a shout-out to her dad, Miami Vice star Don Johnson.
