Furious 7 hits theaters today, and after seven films, the viewers are still just as committed to the franchise as ever. Which both surprised and pleased late star Paul Walker. In this never-before-seen interview from 2011, Walker told The Hollywood Reporter, “Every time we go back, the question really with me is, is the audience still there? I don’t know what it is, but apparently the audience is still there.”
“Just knowing that we’re still owning it, so to speak, and that we haven’t gone out of style, that we’re still valid, you feel good about it,” he continued. Even over a year after his death, Walker is still owning it.
