Kim Kardashian Wasted No Time Calling Kanye West After Her Split from Kris Humphries

The two struggled with timing in the past, but ultimately made it work.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been married nearly a year now, and she's looking back at their beginnings. Despite his confidence and ability to go get what he wants, Kardashian told Access Hollywood she was actually the pursuer in the relationship. But it took a while for their timing to work out.

"When I first met him, we worked on a project together and there was definitely a spark, but we were in other relationships and we kept our distance," she said. "We stayed in touch here and there and then when he wasn't in relationships, you know, it's just our timing would always not really coincide."

After her divorce from Kris Humphries, she decided to call her future husband and get it right this time. And the relationship has worked out markedly better than that infamous 72-day marriage.

"I called [Kanye] because I'm sure it was really hurtful that I got married and, even though it's not like we communicated all the time, I knew what he was thinking. So I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again," she said. "He didn't, and so I called him and I said, 'Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and 'I told you so,' something?' And then – he's always been a good friend to me, like, we've always been there for each other – then he invited me to a fashion show of his in Paris and I went, and then the magic happened."

Now that they're married, Kanye performs massive romantic gestures for Kim all the time, like filling her hotel rooms with flowers and renting out the Eiffel Tower. Kris Humphries tweets questionable things about a family he's been out of for four years. We think Kim definitely wins.
