WAR IS OVER: Slash Reveals That His Long-Running Feud With Axl Rose Has Come To An End

"It was probably way overdue."

Did you feel the earth shake just now? That's because Slash just dropped some metal news of monumental proportions. The guitar great has revealed that after years of beef, he and former Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose are back on friendly terms—thus ending one of the chilliest feuds in music history.

“It was probably way overdue, you know,” Slash told the Swedish news outlet Aftonbladet of the recent thawing. “But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative … dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”

Slash left Guns back in 1996 under unhappy circumstances, but the band is in the market for a new guitarist following the departure of DJ Ashba in July. The top-hatted one declined to comment on any suggestions that he'd team up with his former outfit, leading us to think that fans will have to wait a little longer to hear a reunion of the group's original lineup. But it's an important first step!
