Watch Metallica Tear It Up At The 2015 Reading Festival
Back before Miley's wardrobe malfunction and Kanye's presidential bid took over the national attention at the 2015 VMAs, Metallica completely destroyed their set at the 2015 Reading Festival. The world's greatest metal band (arguably, hold your angry comments) closed out Britain's greatest rock festival with a set that spanned over two hours, and songs from every corner of their career. "We are Metallica and this is what we do," announced James Hetfield as they kicked into high gear with their juiced-up opener, "Fuel."
They played the usuals like "Fade To Black" and "Enter Sandman," but they also dusted off some seldom heard deep cuts from the vault. Hetfield & Co. gave "The Day That Never Comes" its first live airing in the UK since 2009, and "King Nothing" its first performance on British soil since 1999. Check out the video above to catch their unforgettable set.
