Elizabeth Banks and the 'Straight Outta Compton' Cast Deserve Our Recognition

And we're going to give it to them at Big In 15.

The celebration of the year, AKA VH1 Big In 2015 With Entertainment Weekly, is right around the corner. In addition to trailblazers Taraji P. Henson and Amy Schumer, Elizabeth Banks and the cast of Straight Outta Compton have been announced as honorees. Get your hands up and salute.

Actor/producer/director/overall media beast Elizabeth Banks was everywhere this year. From the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 to Pitch Perfect 2, ABC's The Muppets and Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, she was an inescapable force in pop culture. Along with EB, newcomers O'Shea Jackson, Jr., Corey Hawkings and Jason Mitchell will be honored for playing the legendary rap group N.W.A. in Straight Outta Compton, bringing the story of its rise and fall to life.

All of these performers got our attention this year by making major waves in the entertainment biz, and it's time to roast and toast them to show our appreciation. Big In 15 premieres Monday, December 7, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on VH1. Get more info in the press release below.
