In an interview with InStyle, Gwen Stefani opened up about motherhood, her last years of marriage to Gavin Rossdale and The Voice.
"In the beginning, I didn't want to think of myself as a mother. I was like, 'Wait a minute! Ain't no hollaback girl is who I am!' I had to learn to accept it," she says about how she first viewed herself once having kids.
She also admitted Pharrell Williams helped her through her identity crisis. "He helped me with a lot of stuff. I was in a closed-off period before that – I couldn't write, and I didn't feel confident. Being on the show, and being refreshed: It was just like, 'Whoa!'" [PEOPLE]
