Adele Actually Kicked off Her World Tour by Talking About Her "Bad Bowel Movements"
Adele embarked on her sold-out 25 World Tour last night. She performed in Belfast, the first of 44 cities (in North America and Europe) she's slated to perform in this year, and opened her set in a most nontraditional way.
Adele began with a trio of power ballads—"Hello," "Hometown Glory" and "One and Only"—and was told not to say anything to the crowd until after the third song was done, according to The Guardian. When the reigning prank queen did finally address the crowd, she did it in a most unfiltered fashion: She talked about poop.
"I've been f-cking sh-tting myself all day," Adele said. "Bad bowel movements. I've had to have an Imodium." One can only imagine the profound impact this incredibly straightforward statement had at that moment. Honestly. What a goddess.
Adele is apt to say the darndest things. Remember what she said to Rolling Stone about her fitness regime? "I'm not, like, skipping to the f-cking gym," she said. "And if I don't tour, you'll catch me back down at the Chinese!"
Well, touring Adele is and at "the Chinese" she is not. Or maybe she's doing both and that's why she's been on the toilet all day.
Someone add Imodium to her rider. Stat.
