What's Worse: Nick Young Cheating on Iggy Azalea or D'angelo Russell Breaking the Bro Code?

This is a mess.

Here's hoping no one ever finds themselves asking this question again.

A video allegedly taken by Los Angeles Laker D'angelo Russell is causing a stir in sports, Twitter and everywhere these two intersect. The video reportedly shows Russell's teammate Nick Young talking about cheating on his fiancée, Iggy Azalea, according to ESPN. Amber Rose's name is brought up in the conversation, though it's hard to make out what exactly is said about her. You can view the video in question here.

The video is said to have leaked earlier in the week—possibly even last week, but it wasn't until last night that it exploded on social media. Azalea spoke out about the vid via the following succinct tweet, posted early this morning:

The existence of this video poses a few problems. For starters, the Lakers locker room is now in shambles, according to ESPN, with trust issues abounding between teammates. Meanwhile in the court of public opinion, many are pegging Young as the victim, as Russell has supposedly broken the bro code by exposing Young's infidelities without his consent. Others are victimizing Azalea and pegging Russell as a sort of hero, having helped shed light on the truth of the matter. Whether you've already formed your own opinion or not, here's something you haven't already thought about: Which dude—Russell or Young—is more wrong for this debacle?

As a woman, I don't really know what bro code protocol is in a case like this. I'm guessing it's something like: Keep your mouth shut—no matter what. With this in mind, it's easy to see why so many—mostly men—are pissed at Russell's total violation of the bro code. But as a woman, I understand why others—mainly other women—are praising this video leak, and even applauding Russell. Sure, it was totally shady of him to take this video in the first place, but the truth was bound to come out at some point. Right?

So when it comes to Young vs. Russell, who's violation is worse? Is it even possible to decide? I'm inclined to say cheating is worse, but honestly, both are terrible. It's like choosing the lesser of two evils.

It's pretty funny that this is happening in the Lakers' locker room. Remember that time infamous snitch Kobe Bryant violated the bro code with teammate Shaquille O'Neal. Maybe we shouldn't open up old wounds a this time. Shaq may or may not be engaged these days, and things are great between him and Kobe, so everything works out in the end.

Or does it?

UPDATE: 3/31/16 10:35 A.M.

Russell has spoken out about the video in a news conference, according to ESPN. "It wasn't a prank, it wasn't something for everybody else to see. It was for my eyes and his eyes only," he said. "I let him know my apologies. I don't know if they were accepted. ... That was just an incident of 'playing too much goes wrong.'"
